Discover a variety of common mosses and learn about their unique characteristics and ecological role.

Description

There's a wide variety of mosses in the islands, particularly in moist coniferous forests. SJPT Stewardship Director Dean Dougherty will be our guide as we discover and identify some common mosses at the Ellis Preserve and learn about their unique characteristics and ecological role. Hand lenses and microscope will help us zoom in on key features.
