Walk & Talk: Vendovi Wildflower Wonders
Description

Vendovi Island Preserve, Wildflower Walk
Take in the spring splendor of wildflower blooms on Vendovi Island while learning about the natural and cultural history of this remarkable preserve. Join us to enjoy spring’s bounty and experience one of the most diverse botanical gems in the archipelago.
About the island
Accessible only by boat, the 217-acre Vendovi Island Preserve is small enough to explore in a day, but large enough to find a sense of solitude. You may notice that the understory of this forest is particularly rich, with tall salal, Oregon boxwood, sword fern, and salmonberry. This is, in large part, because deer are rare visitors to Vendovi Island.
