Description

Pocket beach, tidal flat, spray zone, cobble shore, docks and pilings: These shoreline types are all represented at the Ellis Preserve and exhibit unique characteristics, critters, and vulnerabilities. Marine ecologists David Duggins and Megan Dethier (Director of the UW Friday Harbor Labs) will provide information and perspective on the fascinating and fragile edges where land meets sea.
